Birthday Invitation

A friend of my sister's called me & asked me to make some birthday invitations for her mom's 60th birthday & she didn't want them black & with "over the hill" on them, something bright! So this is what I came up with & I think she was pretty happy with them! I embossed the "You're Invited" on the front to make it stand out a little more. Thanks for looking!

Bridal Shower Card

This a card I made for a good friend who is getting married in August. I went to her bridal shower on Saturday. Her colors are red & black. And I don't know if you can tell in the picture, but I embossed the dress! And I used the cuttlebug for the white background! It is simple, but pretty cute!

New Wedding Invitation Design

I put together a pocket wedding invitation sample for a friend's sister & she liked them so much that she wants me to make them, all 275 of them! I am pretty excited. I think they turned out pretty nice!

Leif's 2nd Birthday

A friend of mine's little boy turned 2 in May & when I was over there the other day I asked to take a picture of the card I made for him because I forgot to take a pic before I gave it to him! So for your viewing pleasure, here it is!

Baby Shower Invite

A few weeks ago I put together a few invitations for a baby shower that my sister & I were having for a friend. It just took me forever to get the picture posted! Our theme was rubber duckies, I was pretty happy with how they turned out! Thanks for looking!

Wedding Card

This is the card I made for my cousin's wedding last weekend. I used my new Baroque Motifs stamp set, I was pretty happy with how it turned out!

DKS Paperie!

Happy Friday everyone! I just thought I would post the picture we came up with last night to submit with our application for the fall craft show. I think it turned out pretty good! We came up with the name "DKS Paperie", the first part it "DKS" the first initial of our first names in alpha order! Since this is our first craft show we didn't picture of our booth from before (obviously!) so we used my bay window! Can't wait for the show, but have lots of work to do prior!

Hope everyone has a great weekend! :)

Goodies in the Mail!

I got a package in the mail yesterday...about the only good thing that happened. I was sick all day, no fun. Good news is that I am feeling much better today and I have lots of new stuff to try out!
I got the all the new "in color" stamp pads & paper, Curvy Verses stamp set, Word on Word stamp set, Baroque Motifs stamp set, Blooming with Happiness stamp set, and All About Occassions stamp set. I also got a few wheels that were retiring and a few new ones, All About Birthday & All About Gratitude. I finally got the trays for embossing, those were a much needed purchase! And last but not least, got the Brodcade paper pack & the Soft Sky paper pack, I think they were both in the preview brochure for Stampin' Up! Can't wait to go home and "play" with my new stuff!
And I promise this is the last post for today! I was little behind this week! :)

Post It Books

Here is something I came up with Monday night! I saw Amy's tutorial http://www.ustamp4fun.com/ProjectGallery/postitbook.htm and modified it a little to the supplies that I had on hand. I thought it came out pretty cute! I put magnets on the back too so its right there on the fridge when you need to make a quick note!

Christmas Cards

Another thing I worked on over the weekend was some Christmas cards! Check them out and let me know what you think! Kinda puts me in the Christmas spirit, but don't get me wrong, I love summer and am not looking forward to snow! :)

Wedding Programs

So I have been busy making my cousin's wedding programs for her wedding this Saturday.....she didn't get the order of service from her Pastor until Tuesday....so I have to keep busy to get them done before the weekend! Thanks for looking!

It's Monday!

Well Saturday was a great day this weekend, came up with a new idea for our October craft show. They are magnetic tear off calendars. Here is a sample of what I made. I think they are pretty cute & should be great sellers! Let me know what you think!

Hope everyone has a great week!

First Post!

Darci's Designs was created by a girl who loves creativity! Seeing paper and hand-written notes increasingly taking a back seat to email and digital communications, I set out to restore the excitement and the days of announcements, invitations and "just-because" notes in everyone's mailboxes.

After planning mine & my sister's weddings I realized what my passion was and sometimes in order to find exactly what you want you have to "make" it! I love what I do!

I hope you enjoy my page!

This is a baby announcement I made for a friend of mine!
